The project

Inspired by creative storytelling and my interest in digital animation, my team and I showcased The Tell-Tale Heart on an interactive dollhouse. The film played on the wall behind the dollhouse and paused at key moments, prompting the audience to interact with elements like doors, lights, and a pillow before continuing. These interactive objects were made functional using Arduino.

This project was part of the Playful Interaction course at Malmö University in 2020 (part of IDK program).

My responsibilities

Apart from the ideation, technical work, and component crafting I did together with my team, I handled the full storytelling process. From designing the characters, scenes, sounds, and environment, sketching and storyboarding, to animating and producing the final film with narration. This is one of my favorite projects I really loved working on. If given the chance, I would have spent more time focusing on refining the character and environment design, and developing more detailed storyboards before animating.
