A physicalization of your Minecraft world. With visual, haptic, auditory, and olfactory feedback output.
The final video representation of the product
The project
The project started off with an idea pitch, and I presented mine about the concept of an interactive artifact physicalizing data from inside the Minecraft world, which I then called "Minecraft AI Home", a physical block representing in-game data from your world. Arduino was utilized in this project to allow communication between the digital and physical worlds.
Final project of Tangible and Embodied Interaction course 2020 at Malmö University (part of IDK program).
My responsibilities
After my idea was selected, I assembled a team to refine the original concept. This project involved programming (Java) in-game and on Arduino. The block consists of four different types of feedback: visual, haptic, auditory, and olfactory. Beyond the technical work, I also designed and crafted the physical block and provided illustrations to convey the vision and objectives of the product. A research paper, about bridging the gap between the digital and physical worlds, was also written together with the team to conclude the project.
