My name is Thanita Thapphasut and I live in Lund, Sweden. I started my journey as a User Experience Designer in 2020, as an intern during my Interaction Design studies at Malmö University. My first role as a UX Designer was in the medical technology field, where I contributed to designing solutions that directly improved people’s well-being. This experience was profoundly impactful and sparked my passion for medtech - a field I’m eager to return to in the future for its potential to drive meaningful changes.
I still remain curious and open to exploring other fields that push the boundaries of innovation and focus on enhancing everyday experiences, with challenges that allows me to contribute my skills to enhance people’s lives in both small and significant ways.
I was born in Bangkok, Thailand, and lived there until I was 10 when my family moved to Sweden. Growing up bilingual, I consider both Thai and Swedish to be my mother tongues, and I also speak English fluently. I’ve always had an interest for languages and exploring different cultures. I’ve studied French in the past and am now learning Spanish for fun and just enjoying the process.
During my school years, I explored fields including science, technology, game development, and design. These experiences shaped my natural interest in usability, logical thinking, problem-solving, and innovation, eventually leading me to the world of UX.
Outside of work, I have a deep appreciation for food, which was heightened by my years working as a restaurant server during my studies. I enjoy cooking, mostly Thai dishes, but also love experimenting with other cuisines and have recently started baking as well. Together with my partner, we often host dinner gatherings with friends and pairing the home-cooked meals with board or TV games.
